This privacy policy explains what information may be collected when you visit PippaWorld, why it is collected and what happens to it.
PippaWorld is a personal website run by PippaD.
Information you give me
PippaWorld does not currently have user accounts, a mailing list or newsletter sign-up.
If you contact me directly, for example by email, I may receive information such as your name, email address and anything else you choose to include in your message.
I will only use that information to deal with your message or for another reason you would reasonably expect from the context in which you contacted me. I won't add you to a marketing list just because you've emailed me.
Website analytics
PippaWorld uses Google Analytics to help me understand how people use the site. This can include information such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrived at the site, approximate location, and information about browsers and devices.
I use this information to understand how PippaWorld is being used and to help improve the site. I don't use Google Analytics to try to identify individual visitors.
Google processes information collected through Google Analytics in accordance with its own privacy and data-processing terms.
Cookies
PippaWorld is hosted using Blogger, a Google service. Blogger and other Google services used by the site may use cookies or similar technologies for things such as security, functionality and preferences.
Google Analytics may also use cookies or similar technologies to measure how the site is used.
Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, these should not be used until you have made a choice.
You can also control or delete cookies using your browser settings.
Links to other websites
PippaWorld contains links to other websites and services, including the About Ten Minutes with PippaD podcast, PippaD.co.uk and social media platforms.
Once you follow a link to another website, that site's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply. PippaWorld isn't responsible for how other websites handle your information.
How long I keep information
If you contact me directly, I will keep your message and contact details only for as long as they are reasonably needed for the purpose for which you contacted me, or where I need to keep them for legal or administrative reasons.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information. These may include the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask for information to be deleted in certain circumstances, or to object to or restrict certain uses of your information.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy if PippaWorld changes or if the services used by the site change. The date at the top of this page will show when it was last updated.
